Project Details
RED LINE - This line begins at the Loop 1604/IH-10 intersection near UTSA, runs south to USAA and the South Texas Medical Center, down Wurzbach and turns southeast along Babcock Road until it meets St. Cloud. It then runs down St. Cloud, which turns into General McMullen, and turns to run east and west along Commerce Street, going by the UTSA Downtown Campus, the Alamodome, the Convention Center, the Alamo, the River Walk and other destinations in the central business district. The line continues east, passes within a few blocks of St. Phillip's College, then continues to the new arena and Joe and Harry Freeman Coliseum.
BLUE LINE - This north/south line runs from the 281/Loop 1604 intersection to Brooks Air Force Base. From 1604, it services the San Antonio International Airport, travels down San Pedro Road to North Star Mall and Central Park Mall, then proceeds south to Hildebrand. There it turns onto the current Southern Pacific exclusive right-of-way to connect with the other lines at the proposed Westside Multimodal Center. Continuing to use exclusive rights-of-way as well as the streets, the line continues south, passing near the historic King William Area, Missions Concepcion and San Jose, the San Antonio State Hospital, and finally Brooks AFB.
GREEN LINE - The Green Line serves the areas along Broadway, including the University of the Incarnate Word and Brackenridge Park area. Proceeding south, it enters downtown and shares tracks with the Red Line until General McMullen. From there, the Green Line turns south to Kelly USA (where the light rail yard and shop will be located) and South Park Mall, terminating at Palo Alto College.
